Research interests in HIV/Aids, physical activity as a complementary modality of health care, especially in marginalised communities, and the health and well-being of firefighters. With regard to higher education my research interests concern developing best practices in post-graduate education, building capacity in post-graduate supervision and optimizing research outputs and productivity in postgraduate education.
