AfrISpoTE: is a pioneering Pan-African Center of Excellence designed to transform Africa’s sports ecosystem through integrated education, sports science, medicine, research, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialization.

Founding Leadership

Prof. Vincent Onywera

Vincent is the Founder and Vision Carrier of AfrISpoTE. His role is to safeguard the vision, strategic direction and institutional identity of the initiative, while guiding its transition from concept to a fully operational and sustainable institution. A distinguished Professor of Exercise and Sports Science based in Kenya, he brings extensive experience in research, policy development, physical activity promotion, international collaborations, and leadership in advancing health and sports science across Africa.

Prof. Mickey Scheinowitz

Mickey serves as the Founding Chairman of AfrISpoTE. His role is to provide strategic leadership and anchor the project with strong sports science and academic credibility and previous experience building relevant platforms. He brings extensive experience in sports science, academic leadership, international research collaboration and a proven track record in establishing and scaling high-impact performance and health institutions.

Yuval Brown

Yuval leads strategic execution, marketing and global partnerships for AfrISpoTE. His role is to drive implementation momentum, shape the project’s market positioning, and mobilize global and local networks to support its growth. He brings extensive experience in strategic execution, brand development, stakeholder engagement, international partnerships, and the ability to connect vision with actionable outcomes across diverse ecosystems.

Michal Judovits

Michal leads capital strategy, strategic partnerships, and investor readiness for AfrISpoTE. Her role is to design and execute the project’s funding architecture, develop a compelling external narrative, and guide outreach and engagement with investors, sponsors, and strategic partners. She brings extensive experience in capital strategy, investment structuring, fundraising, partnership development, and positioning large-scale projects for successful financing and long-term sustainability.
