Grants and ongoing research
Research interest
Multidisciplinary approaches to developing physical activity and health improvement interventions for people with chronic conditions such as chronic kidney disease, older adults (55+), and ethnic minorities (afro-caribbean, and south asians). With my background in clinical exercise physiology, my research has the potential to develop interventions that are tailored for people with different long-term conditions.
Area of expertise
Co-designing physical activity and health improvement interventions in chronic lifestyle disease (type-2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease); interdisciplinary approaches to developing effective and sustainable physical activity across under-represented groups (elderly, ethnic minorities; women); rehabilitation research; robotic assistive technology.
