Prof Moss is a C2 rated NRF researcher focus her research on physical activity as modality for the prevention and treatment of risk factors of chronic diseases of lifestyle across the life span, with a focus on persons with special needs (pregnancy, intellectually disabled and depression). As a Biokineticists she is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and served on the board of Directors of the Biokinetics Association of Southern Africa in the portfolios for Academic and Public Health. She supervised more than 30 post-graduate students and published more than 50 articles. She has been awarded the Albert Strating Prize in Preventative Medicine from the Academy of Science and Art. She has presented guest lectures in various countries and is the current editor of the South African Journal for Research in Sport, Physical Education and Recreation, an ISI indexed journal.
